What's your Conceal Carry? Why do you like it?

All my carry guns are Glocks. I carry a Glock 23 OWB on duty and in the winter. A Glock 26 in a Crossbreed Supertuck for general carry at times, and a Glock 43 either in a sticky holster or a pocket holster (...

    A Good Leather Holster

Thanks. He makes regular holsters as well, but my wife got this one for me as a gift to wear to work. While on duty I have to wear a suit every day so this is my dress holster. It goes well with more formal wear (although I won't lie, I also wear it in the tree stand).

    A Good Leather Holster

When it comes to belts and holsters, my advice is always choose quality first and foremost. I've regretted dozens of holster purchases over the years, but I've never regretted buying top quality leather.

    A Good Leather Holster

I like to get leather holsters handmade by artists. This is a custom handcrafted holster made for me by SOB Holsters. It is marbled mahogany stained leather with black frog skin inlay. Absolutely beautiful work by a great craftsman. You can find them at https://www.facebook.com/SobHolsters or...

    Put the guns down...

I doubt we would have had to wait. Had her son not been shot by a law abiding gun owner, he most likely would have killed Zimmerman and been in prison for the rest of his life as a murderer. Instead he gets to be a "martyr" for his "community". She should thank Zimmerman.

The NRA called on the BATFE to review whether "bump stocks" comply with federal law

NFA was passed in 1934. And it was in response to organized crime using full auto weapons. They outgunned the police at the time. Instead of equipping the police to deal with them and stamping out the slaughter in the streets, they banned a whole category of small arms. In the face of such...

    Whats on your “short list”?

I currently collect Colt revolvers, so that list could be long. However, practically speaking, what I currently intend to pick up is an inertia driven shotgun. I have many shotguns for many purposes from collector and field grade over/unders, to pump home defense guns, and even a few gas...

The NRA called on the BATFE to review whether "bump stocks" comply with federal law

My position is that when the "intent of the law" was to violate the constitution by preying on the overreaction of the public in response to organized crime, it doesn't really bother me to find legal ways around it. The fact is, we as 2nd amendment supporters should be calling for a repeal of...

Glock 46 Something REALLY new in the works!

I'm a fan of Browning's tilting barrel. Maybe it's because I've come to appreciate the reliability of it, but it would seem to me the tilting barrel design aids in the feeding process. And to me, reliability is pretty much the only thing that matters in a combat pistol. So I'm happy with the...

    Plastic fantastic.

Yep. In the end, it's all personal preference. So arguing which trigger is "better" is essentially pointless. I'm of the opinion that with sufficient training and trigger time, any shooter can adjust and become comfortable with any trigger (whether generally accepted as a good or bad trigger) to...

    ATF Rules AutoGlove Illeagal

I honestly don't see any gray area at all here. The echo trigger is one input action of the shooter to fire one round. That is and has always been the definition of semi-auto. This glove is a single action of input from the shooter to fire multiple rounds. That is and has always been the...

    Plastic fantastic.

I think it's interesting to hear people describe different triggers. I think we all look for various things and describe them to fit our personal feelings. Because I have heard people describe the glock trigger as "spongy". That is a term I use to describe Sig triggers. To me the glock trigger...

    Shooting Steel

I use this guy in Northwest Ohio for all my steel target needs. He's a great guy and these targets are fantastic. I own several and use them for my concealed carry classes. You can turn the base sideways and use paper targets as well. Here's his ad...

    Two New Glocks Coming

Maybe it's the tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of rounds I've shot through Glocks, but the Glock trigger is my favorite trigger ever. It's like my brain is so trained subconsciously to the exact pull of a Glock trigger that everything else feels wrong. And that includes my collection of Colt...

Several Current Bills regarding Concealed Carry in Ohio Legislature

Sorry for the late update, but just as fast as HB 233 moved through committee, it passed the house last week as well. It now moves to the Senate for consideration.

Several Current Bills regarding Concealed Carry in Ohio Legislature

For those following these bills, I was just informed today that H.B. 233 has passed committee and is now heading to the House floor for consideration. Honestly, of all these bills (and several of the provisions in these bills are fantastic), I think HB 233 is the one I'm most excited to see...

2017 Guide To Ohio Concealed Carry Reciprocity States

Minnesota has a director that reviews reciprocity annually. Currently Ohio is NOT approved so an Ohio license is NOT valid in Minnesota. Any map that shows that an Ohio permit is valid in Minnesota is out of date. The map you provided from buckeyefirearms.org is taken directly from...
