I'm supposed to have a plan??

Didn't get that email. The last few guns have just sort of followed me home. Kinda like looking at kittens at the shelter...

Somethin' in .45 caliber. Hadden made up my mind on which one yet, I like a bunch of 'em. Springfield or Kimber maybe. We'll see.
Take a look at the Rock Island Armory .45. Looks good, and lots of satisfied customers; around $400!

I just bought a RIA .45 last month. I love it. It was my first 1911 so I went inexpensive in case it wasn't for me. Now I'm hooked.

Thanks Ray, hadden looked at those yet. Will checkem out.
If I didn't have my Colt Combat Commander George, I would buy the RIA. I've seen them in several gun stores, and I always think they are very nice looking. Reviews are in line with what Mukwah and WAcarry said. No reason to pay twice as much!

Ruger SR9c or SR40c, keep going back and forth, or a Taurus Model 617 .357 Magnum Revolver. I want all 3 but can only afford one at the end of this year. I am torn. :-\

Might not be within 12 months, but if I don't own one by the time I turn 60 I'm giving myself a CZ 75b (or 85b). By the way, my 60th b-day is about 22 months away.

I have looked at the RIA at gun shows. I wasn't very impressed. Glad to hear they work well. Guess I'm spoiled with my Springfield, Kimber and Colt. As far as my wish list, a commander size 45 or M1 Carbine.
George - Since we are both in Austin, you are welcome to try one (or more) of my 45's. Just bring ammo!

Gp100 .357 S.S. Haven't had a .357 since I made the mistake of selling my Python about 30 years ago. I'm also on the lookout for another 9mm Shield for myself cause my wife keeps hers very close. I don't think anybody can go wrong buying the Shield (or a 1911!)

That Python is worth big bucks now! I did the same thing with a Colt Diamondback .38 about 25 years ago. Could kick myself now! :(

That is one fine handgun! My Super Blackhawk was a very nice polished blue model with a 7-1/2 bbl. Should have sold my car instead of that and the 4" Pythin.
