No Machine Guns. Too old and fat to carry that sucker.Well, what do you consider a "survival rifle"?
Are you thinking an M60 machine gun or are you thinking a suppressed .22lr bolt action?
Ruger Scout
.308 can load whatever grain bullet you need
16 inches of barrel, threaded for suppressor
box fed mags
bolt action reliability (they will still work long after you shoot out your damn barrell)
have a choice of optic mounting (should you want it, they do come with irons built in)
fully loaded right around 9lbs (maybe my scale is off, but that is what it said, no scope)
i know i am gonna get shit for it, but i said it anyway.
Yall listed the gun but not the why.
Ruger SR-22 rifle and lots of ammo. Some what light ,scope and Iron sights, and has threaded barrel..22 because you can carry a couple thousand rds and still be light on weight. It's also gonna be more quiet(wont draw attention or scare prey as easily).
These are a must have for every shooter. Love them both and shoot them every chance I get.Ruger 10/22 or a good lightweight bolt gun like a Savage FV-SR.
