If you've spent any time on gun forums you've encountered quite a few "how man mags" threads, and I'm going to shoot the typical response in the face.
The consensus is 10 magazines per rifle/firearm..whatever. If this is based on magazine attrition, how many mags will be worn out, broken, lost..whatever, why does it matter how many rifles you own? How many rifles are you shooting at once? With more rifles, that typically means that you spend at least a bit less time shooting some, and more time shooting others. If you own just a handful of guns, those might get a lot of use.
That said, I'm fine with having 3-4 magazines for some boutiquey rifles that see little use, 3-4x more than the 10/per gun recommendation that typically floats around for guns like my AR's.
Do any of y'all really only have 10 magazines for your "primary" shtf/range gun? Do you really have 10 magazines for your Swiss K-31? Not this cat.
