Thanks, I really love it, now I just have to tell the wife... :'(
Just take her out with you. My wife loves to shoot ours.

Yeah, those mag springs are stiff and a Maglula is an excellent option. After a couple thousand rounds, I still have trouble getting the recoil spring back in place after cleaning. There's nothing sloppy about this gun.

I am going to give that a try right after this expensive dinner I am taking her to tomorrow. Actually I told her this morning as she works 2nd shift. She is not a shooter but will go with me to the range, I have tried but she likes it that I have a great hobby that I am passionate about and was totally fine with the purchase. She knew pressure was building on this purchase as thats all I have talked about for the last few months. My silence it worth more to her than the cost of the gun! She is a good woman a keeper and hope to someday get her shooting. Maybe this sweet little SR9c will get her interested.

I never had a speed loader and will look into the Maglula. It's time to get one.

Here is a pic of my SR9c in home defense mode. I purchased this light/laser on Ebay a while ago. Its actually a cheap air soft $29.00 unit. It's made to be top mounted so the laser won't adjust properly but it has an amazingly bright light on it. It has a locking slide on it so you can easily slide it on an off the rail for an easy HD to SD scenario. Thought you guys may get a kick out of it.

I'm not a fan of the striker fired pistols. But Saturday I was out shooting with my grandson and I shot his SR 40 sweet pistol. It is really accurate. I was laying in some real tight group.
I guess I'm too old I have to have a hammer. Maybe I can carry a claw hammer in my left hand. LOL

I sort of know what you mean. I had reservation's about striker fired pistols at first, just so many people carry this sweet little pistol and I have not heard of any mishaps with them and everyone loves them. The safty on the SR's are awesome and I can pop it off left handed like it was nothing. My Hi-Point c9 is also a striker, I am glad I gave the strikers a chance. After carrying the SR9c around the house a few days locked and loaded I am very comfortable carrying it and will do so. Elsie as a bug always, she never leaves me. I just wish I could get to the range to shoot this little sweetie. Sons farm is out due to fields being process and ranges are closed on Mondays. Gonna make a run for it tonight. Report to follow.

I like the striker pistols that Ruger is putting out. I agree with RugerRon60 on the safety on the SR series. I feel very confident, and safe with this system. I personally keep one in the tube, and safety on. It has become very easy and natural to swipe it off upon presentation. Yeah..post up your trip with Elsie pea after the shoot is over!

I've shot both the Ruger 40 and 9 compacts and really like them. Great ergos, sights, action and most of all, price. I'll be first in line for the entire set if they ever release them minus external safeties and mag disconnects.

Got to go to the range last night, WOW I love this gun. I took Elsie, the Sr22PB and of course the SR9c. Before I even got to shoot I was already enjoying this range trip. I took the plastic box the SR9c came in and have this nice orange plush cloth laying on it, I placed the SR9c and the Sr22 on it and started to set up my targets. I noticed a few people bobbing their heads over at my "display" that I purposely setup. It did look sweet. Had two people talk to me before I got to shoot about both pistols, they really like the idea of having an SR9c and the SR22 as range guns for training reasons. I was on an cloud. OK back to my fist shots with the SR9c. I went 25' with the 10 round mag. First shot I hit the black bullseye with 50% of the bullet. (yeah the smile came on) so after the 10 shots I would say about a 3.5 inch pattern with two right on the inside edge of the outer circle. Targets were just the standard bullseye targets I downloaded of the Internet you print of on a sheet of paper. I loaded the 17 mag and ran them through but on the last shell of did not load in the chamber it was loose inside the slide. Maybe it was me somehow not putting the round in properly, I don't know if these are acceptable to limp wrist or not but that was the only time that happened. Other than that it was 100% after 100 rounds of Blazer Brass 115 FMJ's. and 10 Remington UMC's. The 10 was a guy beside me shooting a AR type 9mm weapon, that gun looked sweet and he asked me how I like the SR9c, I love it of course and since he had 9mm shells I ask him if he wanted to load a mag and he did. He shot 25' and all 10 was in a 2" pattern! This kid was awesome so I am not messing with the sites at all. All in all a wonderful experience with the new SR9c. I am in love.

Now for the SR22PB I put 10 rounds of CCI stingers and 10 rounds of Winchester Varmint loads that fragment then 100 rounds of the Walmart Remington Golden's (the improved ones). I am smiling at a 100% no hiccup performance out of the little sweetie. I was practicing double taps with it having a blast. I adjusted the sites last time I shot it as it was shooting high to the right now its dead on. Even though I went alone I think it was one of the best range trips I can remember. Was hot in there so I didn't get to shoot Elsie. I felt so good after the trip I drove to Walmart and treated the SR9c to another 50 round box of Walmart Federals. I will try them next. Still smiling this morning.

Got invited to a farm to trap coyotes and shoot more tonight. Its great to get out and shoot. Life is good.

I posted on another fourm about the SR9c-It is a very boring gun. Just to easy to shoot accurately, trigger is too perfect, recoil is so minimal.

CONGRATS RUGERRON ON ONE OF THE FINEST GUNS MADE!

Yeah...what you said Davevabch. If you just look at your words initially..it sorta looks like you are "dissing" the pistol. But what you said is "dead on" It almost too easy. I never feel that I need to practice with the SR40C. I just ENJOY shooting it.Great report RugerRon60... ;D

It did start out that way but I instantly knew where he was going with it, I saw the original post which was a post I never got out of my head, actually that comment has some responsibility in my purchasing the SR9c. I wanted that boring gun! :p Of course there were many other reasons but that comment stuck with me. Davevabch maybe you should be in sales! :D

Got a not 80 rounds of Remington Goldens in last night at 100% no hiccups on the Sr22PB, unfortunately only 10 more rounds on the SR9c. But I still got to shoot it. This makes 300 rounds total using 4 different kinds of ammo on the little Sr22 with NO issues since I got the new mags. Its on a rimfire rampage! Living in SR heaven!

Make 3 Rugers to the family. LCP, SR22PB and now the SR9c. As Hickok45 would say: “life is good.”
Same here. My newest is the SR22PB, but we have the same three guns. Now, I think all of the bases are covered, except for center field, which needs an SR1911... Are you listening, Santa?

Went to a GS in Akron Ohio Saturday and got to hold a SR1911. It was really nice, I may have been temped but he only had the one that was on the table. Maybe it shouldn't matter but I want NIB "when" its time to get mine.
