I almost ruined a S&W Model 29 shooting someone else's reloads. Luckily I had a squib round instead of a double charge and was able to get the bullet out of the barrel and it wasn't bulged. I think @Hayata was there for that.

if you can take one apart weigh the bullet and the powder charge you can then reference the loading data to check .
