Huckleberries = wild blueberries.

In eastern Oklahoma/western Arkansas they get ripe around the first week of June. They grow low to the ground, on steep hillsides. This was like steppin' in tall cotton compared to where I'm used to seeing them.
just learned something , if you were in bear country you took your life in your own hands bears love those things

Mine is a 308 and I had 0 issues with it ,, its just a heavy rifle is the worst part
I have a m1a that Im in the process of selling and going to an AR-10 cause i already have a m1 garand for the unique factor and i don't like the ergonomics or accuracy of the m1a enough to keep it (the trigger is awesome tho but with all the aftermarket triggers for ar-10 platforms i doubt ill miss it much)

Thursday evening I climbed a pretty good hill south of Jackson Hole, WY. We were camped in a valley on NF land. I saw some berries...could those be huckleberries? In August??? Sure enough! Picked a couple handfuls and had them with oatmeal the next day. Huckleberries there grow taller, and no ticks, chiggers or snakes. View attachment 97899 View attachment 97900

Love Jackson Hole area, Beautiful country out there. I do miss the Rocky mountains, the low humidity, no bugs (compared to here). Too bad the Californians have taken over a good part of it (Colorado). If it wasn't for that we would probably still be there.

Just ordered a bunch of French CCE camo and just realized that it's shipping to my old address. Customer service line just hangs up due to COVID-19. FML. I'll probably need to drive to Atlanta to get it or it'll just get stolen.

Any of yall ever shoot the 7.62x51 galil ace, I cant find a 7.62x39 rifle or pistol anywhere and might end up going with the .308 version if it still handles well cause i have the money currently and want to get one before i buy something else that i dont really want and end up regretting it

lots of good reviews on the .308 Galil and I have shot one and do like it but i love the 7.62X39 Galil way better than i like most AK's (Except Norinco AK.s I love them as muck as a Galil).

Ordered one of those Romanian backpacks from SG for the girlfriend. It's nice.

I needed $10 to qualify for free shipping so I got this trio of surplus mag pouches. No fucking clue what they are for, but I can fit 6 Uzi mags in each one.

My M14 (M1A) was gone over by “Ol’ Hook” Boutin of Buchanan Ga.
That rifle is Boringly accurate if you do your part you can hit steel at 300 yards standing 9 out of 10 times. and from a Sitting position you can hit it every time without fail.
I built My M14 from ground up from a Rock-Ola Forged Receiver.

i have a standard m1a and just don't want to put the money into it to get it to that point when i can go down the rabbit whole with an ar-10 that i built myself, i love the gun don't get me wrong but AR platforms are easier to upgrade additionally down the road if i decide to
