I’m gonna put the OG Galil stock on tomorrow at my buddies house with his help and his tools.

I never did get around to buying that tool, I know about the c-clamp method, but with 2 dudes, a vice, and a punch secured in it I think I can depress the hinge pin up and have him pull off the e-clip.

Six years of Wisconsin winters... Have you ever shot a qualification in -20 degree weather? It sucks. I know for a fact, that my rifle will function in that weather, as well as my buddies RRA, and S&W MP15, in some of the most extreme weather. Not trying to sound like a jerk... I was lucky to have the opportunity to test myself and my personal weapons under adverse weather conditions. Not to mention the .50 BMG, 240B, MK19, and M249... I'm kinda' amazed how well these weapons worked under freezing snow and rain.
Mechanix gloves make great shooting gloves. Oh, load all of your mags at home, before the range trip. Loading up mags at 20 below sucks. Cannot do it in gloves.

Wear some eye protection. That pin is under some serious pressure.

We adopted a Pit mix. He had spent 14 months in a shelter. We think he is 1/2 Pitbull and 1/2 Dogue de Bordeaux. If anyone doesn't know what a Dogue de Bordeaux is, just look at the movie "Turner and Hooch" that is a full blooded Bordeaux. And yes, they slobber and drool like the dog in the movie. My wife had a full blood one about 8 years ago. Great dogs. My 2nd favorite to a Rottweiler.
