I gotta say that I have had the opposite experience. Twice. I was denied employment based on the color of my skin, and a less qualified individual was hired to meet affirmative action quota. Both times I was told by HR and offered a different position.

I know - I was being sarcastic. I HAVE sat in enough of those BS meetings and tutorials to understand what crap it is. It'd be a prick to not hire a qualified guy because of race, but it's just as bad to HAVE to hire a guy because of race.

I completely agree. Hiring should be done on the merits of the candidate. Not gender, race, religion, or any other irrelevant divisionary trait
