Found my next gun. Bren 2 is avaialble in the wild. Both 5.56 and 7.62x39. That's what SCAR should have been.

I love the OG Bren so I can only imagine how much I'll love the Bren 2. I wish the x39 version took AK mags though. I'll probably end up getting one in 5.56 when the 11" version comes out. I just don't want to have to buy a bunch of the proprietary x39 mags.

X39 does not use AK mags because it is not rock and lock. But you can shave the rear lug on a Magpul mag, cut a hole for a mag release and use it. Cannot find YT video about now.
