Done it on Oak for a customer on a mirror frame...Then I had to sand half of it back off again. Go SLOW and light the first few passes till you get the hang of it. Doesn't take long to do.

The secondary explosion happens. It’s some kind of phenomenon like a cavity collapsing inside the gel. I googled .458 Socom gel and that came up but can’t confirm or deny if that’s really a .458 socom. Looks like it could be and I know that shit penetrates like 20” plus of gel lol
I shot a CMMG Anvil at the last IV8888 range day we went to and even at 100 yards it was rocking an IPSC silhouette steel target on a 2x4 stand to the point where I thought it was gonna fall over. Those things have some punch. I want an Anvil so damn bad.
