You’re lucky to be in the presence of the Mayor of WASRville @Jstegman1 lol. He was impeached and sold most his shares in WASRville a few months back though

There's still a closet full of constituents. I just haven't been acquiring them as fanatically as I once did. Especially when people want $800 for them.

I'm the mayor of WASRtown anyway, WASRville is a shitshow.

Remind me what’s the difference between WASR and others, and where were they made? I learn best through repetition...

It's a Romanian import rifle that's rather close to the standard AKM design. Easy to recognize because it lacks receiver dimples where the magazine inserts.

Edit: y'all quick lol

I’ve learned that I don’t like the BHO mags as much as I thought I would. It’s a pain in the ass when doing dry-fire, and the fact that the bolt slams shut when you remove the mag kinda sucks because you still gotta rack the bolt instead of hitting a slide stop, and it makes the mag just a bit harder to remove.
Only positive is that when you run empty you know it - but if you’re in tune with your gun you can feel the difference when the bolt slams shut empty anyway.
None of this is a huge deal, can be worked around easily enough, it’s just reasons to stick with the other mags that function better overall.

The only time I can see those mags being worth using is if you have a Krebs type safety that locks the bolt back, then you can drop the mag.

But I'm like you, not a BHO fan on AKs.

WASR is Romanian made. Easily recognized by lack of mag well dimples (but there are others without them). Nothing special about them other than they are usually cheap and quite reliable

Well, that depends. True if talking straight WASR 10.

But if you're talking WASR 10/63, I'd say those are special and command a premium.

Also, there are other WASR models that are rarer and bring a premium as well, such as the WASR 10/63 KR.

If you don't already have a Model 10 I'd go with that. Everyone should have a Model 10 IMO. They are such smooth shooters. They make a great gun to let new shooters get experience with center-fire handguns as well. Load up a cylinder with some cowboy loads and it's as soft as a .22LR then work your way up.

this is the way I’m leaning.
could use another wheel gun in the stable, especially over a glock
