Just realized how easy it is to let your guard down:
We had a soliciter come to our door a around 7:30 this evening. I thought it was from the locate company because we had to get yard located. Well I’m in gym shorts and the wife was rushing me so i toss my gun iwb and i have to hold it up.
Well he talks a minute and I’m trying to get rid of him, and he asked me if i had my phone on me and i didn’t so i said I’d get it and i only half shut the door. (He had full att outfit with badge, paperwork etc, and was trying to convince me my internet speed wasn’t what Comcast was guaranteeing me, which is in fact true and I knew that already) He said he wanted me to do a speed test on my cellphone. Well I walk in my house about 10 steps to grab my phone and walked back to him to do the speed test he was trying to get me todo to show me my WiFi’ speed which was fine. Then he finally left after i expressed my clear disinterest. It didn’t occur to me until after that i should’ve never given him my back & leave the door 1/2 open with him standing at it
I was listening for footsteps to make sure he didn’t enter but even still that was really stupid.
I just didn’t expect a solicitor this late and i shouldn’t have ever answered.

I guess I had false sense of security, since I had my G19 iwb, and we live in the back of a neighborhood surrounded by neighbors.
