She works part time at the holiday inn express inn here, and she gets points when she enrolls customers so we can get nice rooms for like $55 a night with her employee point system thing. The City of Detroit is going after Lin Wood and Sydney Powell because they claim that the Kraken lawsuits were a load of bologna. Part of what they are seeking is disbarment, so neither can practice law.
Ultimately, it's probably for show and nothing more. The City would have to prove the falsity of the claims made in the complaint and that the attorneys lied. When pursuing Rule 11 sanctions, the moving party is the one that foots the entire bill unless the court grants relief otherwise, so here that's taxpayer dollars. Usually a Rule 11 motion is brought to knock out some of the more spurious claims in a complaint or motion because it's essentially a threat. Relief generally won't be afforded unless its really egregious.
