Use the handle on a rubber mallet. Use head as a hndle to turn it. I have not a single dented mag that I have mot been able to fix. Need to replace springs in a couple, they are noticable shorter and do not feed right..
Good tip. But it’s too late lol she’s been cut. Still trying to get the follower to clear. Will try that method. Just been using a file somewhat. Oh and I think you guys call this a flat back. This is my first time really messing with a AK mag so I’m learning as I go image.jpg image.jpg

On my mallet the end of the handle is a bit wider than the rest. I put the tip right against the deep dents and twist.
I think I put the mojo on it, tried to stick it in the AK's and it won't fit, musta done something to it while it was in the vise, idk. The lug won't clear on of the AK's and side plates and lug won't clear in another. To be continued, I'll figure it out tomorrow
