Ammo is expensive. Without the military grade ammo performance is meh, IMHO.
Tokarev 7.62x25 does all 5.7 does, for less money. But no rifle and high-capacity pistol.

Not really it’s been a solid length for quite some time. Obviously it’s loud AF and has neutered ballistics but you can shoot a 10.3 farther that what people think. Like ringing steel at 400+ but I wouldn’t really call it ringing it’s kinda love tapping steel at 400. Works well 200y and in IMHO but I’m sure I can crunch real numbers and see where she shines

Why go 10.3 when an extra inch nets very tangible benefits with realistically no decrease in maneuverability? You'll never notice an inch and it is kinda nuts how much extra velocity that inch seems to give. Then again, when it comes to 5 56 I wouldnt go below 12", preferably I'd have an AUG with an 18" barrel to wring out every last FPS of that tic tac bullet

Yep I wasn’t sure about the velocity boost the extra 1” or 2” gain but I know that was always the argument with the 11.5/12.5 crowd. You absolutely won’t notice an increase or decrease in maneuverability that’s negligible. How many FPS you gain on that extra 2”?
