I had an imported Gwagen for a short time a few years ago, made a little profit when I sold it.
They‘re very capable off road like the old land rovers but they are not galvanized and sealed well so the body rusts easily. A lot of the early 80s-early 90s currently imported and overpriced. It’s a shame the newer and much better sealed 03-up models were not offered here with the 2.7cdi diesel motor.
Europe has everything imaginable regarding unique cars, and of course Australia and South Africa as well but neither of those 2 countries are worth a shit anymore compared to US and Europe.
For what it’s worth in my opinion the very good and tough awd vehicles available to get here under $20k (depending on mileage of course) are:
early 90s Toyota Land Cruiser
05-up Nissan Armada
02-12 Nissan Pathfinder
99-02 Excursion 7.3 diesel
13-15 Audi Q7 and Q5 TDi models
And surprisingly, the 07-10 Range Rovers with the Ford drivetrains are pretty good, much better than earlier models with BMW engines and transmissions (although maintaining it will cost more, they still have issues with window regulators and other electronics)
Nice guys but they don't know much about guns. One guy was calling a Zastava an Arisaka and thought a CAI 9mm was a 7.62x39. I've seen them say some other dumb shit also.
No offense but the Tacoma is a light duty POS.
