I have a Robinson Arms Vepr, with the ugly heavy buttstock that I converted to a square rifle. And recent slantback imports.

For most people FM Vepr stands for squareback import.
The post in question has a TGI Knoxville marked rifle, with an ACE stock.

Still I would choose a Vepr (any version) over any other 7.62x39 semiauto. I have a few Valmets that are worth 3-4x more but besides being collectibles having higher values I don’t think they’re any better in this category.

Herbie plays this game. Runs past me up the stairs and then stops, just out of reach. When I go to pet him, he runs the rest of the way into the upstairs bonus room and waits until I come up there before flopping all around lol

I think from all the people here the ones that seem to be the nicest and most genuine are 2Glocks, Matt Ellerbee and Cameron Shepherd.
Next items items I’m giving away are going to them, not sure in what order.
FastStang is cool also, but would be even cooler is he got a GT350 instead of a loaded up 5.0

Got one of those Valmets with the tube stock? That's one of my unicorns...I could have bought one years ago before the prices on them got really astronomical...

I got Valmets when they were under $800, got a M82 bullpup back in early 90s for $750, several others.
Which tube stock? Most had factory plastic buttstocks

Agree, with one caveat. Vepr was my favorite AK (20" RA is very, very accurate), until I got Galil ACE.
Ace wins because of the 5/8 thread, railed cover and tritium sights.

Ace wins because of the 5/8 thread, railed cover and tritium sights.

Personal preference I guess.
I would never depend on a railed cover for precision optics even if it’s hinged. Red dot or 2x at most but I still prefer the ak side mount for optics.
Sights and threads, not really a concern.
Reliability is main concern.

Ok that stock, yeah I think only the 62 had that but I’m no Valmet expert.
Valmets are nice and great quality but overrated like most rare/expensive guns.

Been doing some research for on Audie Murphy and his battle with PTSD. It's a shame that for so many decades military downplayed the mental toll war takes on people. Current PTSD treatments supplied by the government are way above what they used to be, but still not good enough. 22 a day is 22 too many....

I could not agree more.
I lost Three to this shit and it seems like the treatment is getting better but way to slow.
