It's not paranoia, its called reading the writing on the wall and believing the writen word. There is a book that describes everything we are seeing happen in detail but I'm not sure if you would believe in a superior being higher than yourself or this old book I speak of.

Now.. we've had my our say and we clearly don't agree so there is nothing more to discuss.

If you would like to discuss the Topic of me being a doomer further, talk to the mods and start a subforum.

AT&T fiber is the same way, supposedly get 1000 Mbps, more like 400.
I guess if you have the ability, like some bad ass computer that can actually grasp the 1000 mbps you can achieve that number but I think most hardware out there can’t handle that type of bandwidth. Fiber optic is really ahead of the current software/hardware out there

Only a few items are hardwired to the router, the rest is Wifi - TVs & satellite box, 2 laptops, tablet, 2 phones, Ring cameras, thermostat, Xbox, "smart" power receptacles, etc - just depends on what all is draining off the wifi

i have my Xbox hard lined to the box. It gets max 400 download speed. Wow 100 bucks, guess that’s the going rate not sure. I know it’s not available in most areas. Google fiber is also very limited in Atlanta. I’m near downtown in a newly built complex only reason I have the option for it

They basically forced me off of my old DSL that was only $35/mo, I could have gone with a less expensive package, but with my wife and I both working from home at times, we went with the 1000Mb fiber.

I can't even imagine what 400 would be like Lol. The down side to living "in the country" is I only have 1 option and its a 20Mbps DSL. I guess technically I could do satellite but that is no better and just not cost effective. I pay like $55 a month just for my lousy 20 mbps.

I got lucky at one of my properties with country home/cabin in NC about 20min from Franklin, get about 140mb/s off my phone (tower close by)
I‘m sure cable or dsl would be slower than that if I got it there

I just connected my laptop directly to the router, showing around 650 with a few different speed tests
