Fucking huge ass oak tree just fell on my house. It is ruined. I have no celing left in half of my upstairs and the roof truss and shingles are all over all of our shit. Fuck this shit.

Dammit guys. I had no idea y'all were gonna get hard like that. I saw the posts last night but there was nothing mentioned here other than some rain. Roads are dry but I know we got winds bc there's branches and leaves all over.

Power is out and woke up just after 5 with very strong winds. They made school mandatory from home today yesterday in anticipation.

What part of town are you in? Hopefully wherever you are, the wind and rain will be done. You might as well call your insurance company and get started on a claim. Get 1st in line with your agent, I'm sure that you won't be the only call he gets.
My wife went outside about 5 times to look at the storm as well, I was thinking WTF are you doing? I can't wait for this shit to be over.

I was in the middle bathroom, had just got done taking a piss when I heard the tree cracking. Jumped out of the bathroom and the ceiling caved in. My daughter was sitting 5 feet away from the entry way that I posted pics of earlier. We got super lucky. I'm just glad everyone is okay.

My wife literally sat, outside, on the front porch...ALL NIGHT...woke me up about 30 minutes before the power went out because it was so bad out, sounded like a fucking train was coming through. I live up on top of a hill, so we sat there and watched transformers blow all around us...
