OK, so since I've gotten this Saiga and am now over the sticker shock of .410 ammo, I'm interested in getting a 12GA for around the house. Since now that's my new infatuation.

What's something to look at? I don't want the pistol shotguns. I'm leaning toward the Remington 870 like the Police Magnums or the 590A1 which are getting stupid expensive. Any others I should look into?

You have got to have the world's worst timing, like EVER!

I have a Mossberg mod 500 that's fun to play with at the range. But @cmshoot says he's seen issues with them in his classes. I think he's a fan of the Remington 870's.

My BIL's 870 is super smooth. If you can find a Winchester 1300 those are super solid as well

LOVE my 870 police magnum.
Got a 20” barrel with tritium front sight, ghost ring rear sight, and a mag extension to hold +3 regular shells. But it’ll hold 11 of the Aguila short shells, which are perfect for home defense. I alternate 00Buck and Slug.
It’s got the @cmshoot Stamp of approval - he swapped out the furniture for me and added the mag tube and sling swivels.

I was lucky in my timing - got it on GB for $210 two years ago
