are Pro Mag drums for this Saiga any good? They're the only ones I can find in stock, even regular mags are unavailable right now unless I want the factory 4 round mags.

I tried that a few times and wound up wrenching on my vehicles every weekend. You know this! You know how I drive! Pulley swap on a supercharged Nissan Frontier, promptly cracked a header and sent the knock sensor into a frenzy during the 100 degree weather we have here, new brakes/tires/wheels...gimme the car payment and warranty...
Buy a Toyota and don’t fuck with it.
Works for me!
And I win races all the time - when the other drivers don’t know we’re racing....

Stairs themselves look "alright."

It's the built-in railings that gave him fits. I think he should have cut the carpet one time parallel with the steps and spliced them instead of cutting 3 times perpendicular and trying to patch it all together some kind of hokey-ass way. It looks like a home DIY'r did it. But then again I'm not an installer. You couldn't see a seam on the old carpet.

Can the installers work around this?

Do not replace with Berber carpet.
If an installer shows up and he sees Berber, he will either walk off the job, or triple the price of the install. That shit should be banned. (And yes, I used to lay floor coverings amongst other things)

Holy shit. I’m no carpet installer, and I’m sure those post sucked, but holy shit.

The box magazine is not matching, so unfortunately this is not a "collector grade" anymore. All it takes is one item to stomp the price down. Still nice, but Bubba probably had a 30 round Tapco in it and lost the original magazine and the new owner found an original style and put in it.
