I tried that a few times and wound up wrenching on my vehicles every weekend. You know this! You know how I drive! Pulley swap on a supercharged Nissan Frontier, promptly cracked a header and sent the knock sensor into a frenzy during the 100 degree weather we have here, new brakes/tires/wheels...gimme the car payment and warranty...

Stairs themselves look "alright."

It's the built-in railings that gave him fits. I think he should have cut the carpet one time parallel with the steps and spliced them instead of cutting 3 times perpendicular and trying to patch it all together some kind of hokey-ass way. It looks like a home DIY'r did it. But then again I'm not an installer. You couldn't see a seam on the old carpet.

Can the installers work around this?

I'm not sure if a new small piece can be spliced in for a repair or if the steps need to be redone completely.

So the glass company for the old house-I'm having a cracked window replaced-has ordered the wrong size window 2 times now. I call them today and they tell me they just ordered the window on the 1st of Oct. I said what took so long to order it? She said well, they just came out to the house on the 29th. I couldn't argue but it didn't sound right. So after I hung up, I checked my calendar and they came out on the 21st, which is what I originally told her before she corrected me.

These fuckers keep this shit up, and I'm gonna have to borrow @Jds556762's NODS. I swear. SMDH again!

Well the guy finally finished up the stairs. It looks like shit. The guy is like 80 years old so I ain't gonna beat up on him. He was hired through my father-in-law. So I guess I've got to buy some more carpet and hire someone else to redo this.

Seriously though constantly buying new cars is a big financial drain. Cars are incredibly reliable on average these days.
