How can I cut these 6' tall overgrown bastards down to something manageable? Do it now or wait til it gets colder? Can't tell you how much I CANNOT STAND high maintenance shrubbery and yard work.

I forgot to tell everyone, if there's a misfire with your Mr/Mrs Stabby, just pull the blade all the way out and it'll snap back into track

Also... Don't saturate the internals with oil or you will get lots of misfires

Will probably have to do it in phases. If you cut them that low in one go, it may shock them and they die. I’d wait till after winter for sure.

They will look like shit either way for a few months.
