Hey guys what type of welder would you guys recommend for building guns? I went by harbor freight earlier to just get an idea, I know TIG is suppose to be the hardest. Is that what is usually used when building a gun? Tryna plan out this PPS43
Tig probably. Mig welds are usually sloppier and I don't think that's good for a weapon

Tig usually has better potential for cleaner welds. Although I’ve seen shitty tig welds and excellent mig welds as well. Have to have a quality welder (no harbor freight bs) and experience to get the settings right, then great results can be had with either

I have found Tig is easier than Mig for me to draw a bead. The best way to learn to weld is grab two pieces of metal and stick them together.

As for equipment recommendations, you cant go wrong with a Miller.
