That's because the end game is we get involved in Syria's civil war under the guise of going after ISIS.
If we get involved Syria, it will be to turn Syria over to the rebels and destabilize the country. Just like we did with Libya, Egypt, Afghanistan and Iraq. This administration's singular accomplishment is a purposeful destabilization of the entire region, with hardline Muslim extremists assuming control.

re-post.....but yes indeed. I'm keeping an AK with me now. Paranoid? Maybe...but I'd rather have a chance than none at all.

Gonna start carrying my AR pistol with a handful of mags. I'm literally 10 minutes from the first shooting site in Chattanooga. More now than ever we must be ready. Make sure your family is also prepared.

I have my doubts about the legitimacy of the letter. The font is almost too....I don't know.....contrived? It's almost like whoever wrote it tried to make it look third world, especially given that the font pictured is not a default so it had to switched. What terrorist would do think? Why not just type the letter. Also, what word processing software, by default, puts the title of the document top-dead center like that? And lastly....to clarify, it wasn't "on-base" it was a car off-base in an office complex. I don't know....it doesn't pass the smell test to me.

1. What does the font have to do with anything? If it was some radicalized person here in the US odds are they know how to switch a font...or that they set their default font to that particular style.
2. The "Unititled" thing is odd, no question there.
3. Car could have Veteran, Active, or Active Reserve tags, like my truck does...or even the old base specific entrance decals still on the windshield. They could have had some type of military sticker...

While the validity of the letter is questionable the reasons cited aren't why.

The idiot in Chattanooga was an engineer so I'm sure he knew his way around Microsoft Word.

Sorry brother but did you just use the Dan Rather defense? The letter may be fake but it's content makes it valid?

no...I am saying that there are reasons to think that the letter is fake but the reasons he gave aren't very strong.

If anything the content of the letter itself would lead me to question it, primarily the syntax used....not the font or that it was placed on a vehicle off-base. It reads as something someone who is trying write like a jihadi would write it.

No one uses that font has a default. Let me rephrase. I find it incredibly difficult to believe that anyone uses that font as a default. So why use it unless you are trying to look "primitive?" I don't think that a terrorist would go out of their way to do that. I do think that someone trying to look like a terrorist would, though. "Yeah, I'll change it to this crappy font so it looks all third world and stuff."

2. The "Unititled" thing is odd, no question there.
Which drives to the point of it being a fake. No word processor of which I am aware does that by default, so it had to have been typed. So they why capitalize the "U" and nothing else in the whole document?

3. Car could have Veteran, Active, or Active Reserve tags, like my truck does...or even the old base specific entrance decals still on the windshield. They could have had some type of military sticker...
I don't disagree with that. I was just pointing out that it didn't happen "on-base."

While the validity of the letter is questionable the reasons cited aren't why.
I disagree but I think that's evident. ;)

Does anyone feel like there are a fair number of people that are really hoping for a broader domestic issue to take place?

Agreed on the syntax issue.
