I really like my M70AB2 so much better than my M10. If only it were a triangle sidefolder, it would be perfect.
Is it possible to use that locking button for the dust cover on a sidefolder rear trunnion?

Way back when I was trying to go that route I found that Wix Diesel fuel filters were the way to go because there’s no spring assembly at the end, and they’re the right size to see over thru AR sights. Never actually converted one, but I got the impression it would’ve worked.

Just use a different dust cover and not use the locking button. The only reason it is om Yugos is to keep the cover on for the barrel lanched grenades.
Russians use under barrel grenade launcher mounted on bayo lugs and they do not have a lock button.
