I used to hate the Lacquered 14.5mm ammo. After about 4 rounds through my sniper rifle The empty cases would get stuck and I would have to kick the bolt open.

I generally don't like lacquered ammo in my AK either

I nevder had problems with laquer, but all of my AKs and ARs are chrome lined. Maybe that's why. Laquered ammo does resist rust better than polycoated ammo.

Might want to put a tiny washer on the backside of the rivet so it don't pull through. Leather will stretch around it.
