I loved my Veprs. And then ACE came. Still like Veprs, but ACE is better.
Cover stays zeroed after been taken off and on.
For me it's sad that people see something marked SPM & still try to buy it out from under someone. Maybe I misunderstood what actually happened though.

Front of the cover has a tab that slides into the gas tube. Gas tube sits in the rear sight.
There is a trick to putting the cover back. Recoil guide rod has to be put below the trunnnion. Put cover back on and give it a good smack with your hand to seat. It is a milled receiver and a double thickness welded lip on the cover. It stays put.
