Once I get the trunion riveted in and the barrel pressed in, I can cut the extended portion of the handguards so it is flush with the wood. Should cut down a couple oz of weight and to make it look like the izzy handguards are mounted directly to the rifle instead of mounted to the rail.
So these are desirable? not longer imported or something?
Oh and I have to drill a hole through the barrel mount so I can run a cleaning rod through there ...
