It'll probably save your life, or keep you from being a cripple. As many miles as I used to ride, and I'm the only guy from my old crew that never got hurt. Wrecked one pretty good (cage turning left) - but never hurt.
Being whole for my wife and family is more important than riding...and with cellphones nowadays, it's gotta be much worse to ride.

So very fucking true. Today I was on Barrett parkway and a fucktard in a minivan was tailgating this slower guy in the fast lane. So rather than be behind him when he got brake-checked, I changed lanes. The cars in my lane started moving faster, so I sped up to go past the two nose-to-ass cars in the left lane. As I was 6” from going past, that fucker moved right over, nearly hitting me, then sped right through a traffic light that was already red. He could’ve killed people.
I've long argued that this song (written by Jamie McMurtry, son of the author of Lonesome Dove, but Ray Wyle's version is much better) should be our National Anthem.
