That might be a rather limiting situation

Normal mags have a welded spot at the top inside the mag to keep the follower from popping all the way up. Yugo mags don't have the weld, so the follower is stopped by the feedlips.

You can take the springs and followers out the mag through the bottom. But you'll want to grind or file the weld on the new mag bodies that you use. No guarantee that will work but I don't see why it shouldn't.

Did yours have that weird white insert made of strange styrofoam glued inside? Mine had broken free and into a hundred pieces, so I tossed it. But there’s still bits glued in. Easy trick to get them out?

It was for sensor tubes. Both of my boxes have them.

You can remove the followers, but 20rd mags have limiters on the inside of the feed lips. BHO will not engage the bolt with them.

I see it now.

I took apart both mags to try it out, and nw I see something else too - these Yugo mags are still sticky as SHIT with COSMO. Guess I'm emptying and boiling all my BHO mags!

Throw kerosene or wd40 on it or leave the mags in the sun.
