It's crossed my mind to drive out somewhere and find a place but everything is so built up now, you really can't do that anymore. Back in the 80s we could literally drive to a few places off the roadside where they were digging up topsoil and go shooting whenever we wanted...

If you plan on keeping the stock you could change the upper receiver to m4 with the feed ramps on it. If you keep the upper you could swap the stock out for a 7 pos adj Vltor A5 buffer system and use a different stock ... I like Magpul STR it’s my fav. Otherwise carry on

I know ... I walked to paw paws house to get a BX of 22lr at age 10 strolled around the property like a big dawg and came back with either a couple rabbit or a few squirrels for lunch. Man I miss those days.
