also ATF: and any long gun chopped down is more dangerous too, cause you know. less velocity = moe deadly

and suppressors, we can't allow people to possibly preserve their hearing in a shooting. so they don't mistake Timmy coming from the bedroom as another Perp and yeet his ass too
Poor Timmy.......Yeeted before his time............for the children.

Well I got the Yugo SKS cleaned up. Couldn't break the screw loose for the bayonet though, it's staked on the other side anyway.

Gun has a couple of electro pencil numbers on the different parts even though all the original numbers all match. That has me scratching my head a little bit. Like the mag is numbers matching but it has another electro pencil number on it inside I believe?

Used Ballistol to slick it up and wipe it down, @Hayata mentioned it enough times to make me buy some. Good stuff. Just wish it was aerosol.

The action on this thing is incredible. Slickest one on any rifle I've owned.

M193/855 5.56 will yaw and fragment....but it's totally dependent on velocity to get the job done. Lose the velocity = zip right through, just like you said. The Russians figured a way around that with the 7N6 bullet. I would carry a Krink shorty loaded with 7N6 ammo with zero worries about bullet performance at fighting ranges. If i needed a shorty to fight with it would be a Krink for sure over a CAR......but I can't afford a Krink, sad face.
And that's why my shortest 5.56 is a 14" P&W Colt.
7.62x39 was always more available than 5.45x39, even 15-20 years ago. No ammo shipping to Alaska.
And 7.62x39 does allright out of 10" barrels. Barnaul 125grain JSP expanded out of Draco in my tests.
