@Gaige inspired me to do a full Khyber/Somali Pirate build.

Just ordered a Recreator Blanks Egyptian engraved receiver cut for a 4.5 mm bulgy triangle folder.

Also ordered a Bulgy 4.5 mm triangle folder with trunion and hardware...

Now to find a PM90 pistol parts kit....

No bayonet lug because it never made it through the refurb process. My grandfather's gun from the Red Cross from WWII. He ran an R&R camp on one of the Pacific islands and brought this back home with him. He served in an artillery unit in WWI. When he tried to volunteer for WWII they said he was too old. That's when he went to work at the Red Cross. Leaving his wife and 3 young boys in the US.

He ran parks and recreation in Durham NC after the war. Never knew him 'cause he died when I was 3. My dad said he would entertain the crowds at the city pools my setting himself on fire and then diving into the pool. I wish I could have known him. He sounds like a piece of work.

I'll hang on to the bayonet unless somebody else has an actual WWII to M1 carbine (if I had to guess in this group, I'd assume it would be @Balthaz) & is interested. I mean I've had it for almost 50 years already.

Yeah, Nitto is great rubber. I'm HATING the Goodyear Wrangler ATs I got on both my trucks. Good for off-road, but nothing else. HORRIBLE road noise, gets worse as they wear, and right at the 10K point they aren't much good on rainy roads either.
Good Fucking Luck down-slope on a curve with wet pavement, look for the grass and hope to hell you make it there!
