I understand the AR10 proprietary parts thing is largely academic...but it still bothers me. Maybe the engineer OCD coming through.
I haven't experienced reliability problems with my 18"
I get that there is no milspec standard with the platform, but there is so much aftermarket support that it's not really an issue anymore. 10 years ago, absolutely.
I had an Armalite and a DPMS. They were plenty benchrest reliable...but I would have at least one malfunction per range trip, usually stovepipe or double feed.
In my mind it takes what is already a fantastic PDW/basalt gun and makes it worse
Oh yeah, I'd rather have the 'premium' PSA over a Sport II also. I'm trying to talk him into that direction. I've never really heard any complaints from the PSA premiums.

The city is tearing up brick sidewalk in Grant Park and people are dumpster diving for bricks. No idea whether it's people trying to get some free bricks or something more nefarious.

For real though, they used to sell a zillion different uppers. I can't find any on their site now. Did they switch to full rifles only?
