I heard the AK63DS barrels were soft...but i also feel like that's splitting hairs. Dont yse it as a pry bar or do multiple FA mags dumps and itll be fine

It was a badass rifle for sure. Entreprise receiver--ABNI marked--similar to DCI or Global marked Century weapons...They don't have a great reputation but the ABNI marked ones are very desirable.
I just don't really have a great place to stretch it out, otherwise i'd have been more tempted to keep it.
I called my buddy Kotengu from the Files ( he knows FALs) - I was pissed about the event, even though it worked out ok.
He said FALs can be modified to forward assist. I actually was thinking about another one, but think I need an UF more.
M1A, Garand, SKS, AK, K98, 336 Marlin.....all guns I've fired a heap. Only the FAL failed in a pinch.

There's an awful lot of countries that use the FAL without FA. Not sure why Israel decided they need it?

Well, yours was actually broken according to you..
I dont see the point of FAs on ARs either. I ain't slamming something home that doesnt go naturally. In your case it wasnt the chamber or cartridge, but a broken rifle.
