Back around 2006 or so, me and a buddy went in on a big buy with a gunsmith I know. I think we pitched in to make it 12 rifles, which brought the price down to 99.99 each. My buddy got a nice 42, I got two 1943-1944 models, and a 1937 CE. It was luck of the draw, we just grabbed whatever came up first. The 1937CE is freakking beautiful, it's the only one I kept of that lot.
The gunsmith picked a up a 1945 unfired barrel and action the commies had stuck in another stock/handguard. Machine work was crap, but man, what a find.
