Had an old railed Marine Operator with a square cut straight dust cover. Newer ones are angled. That was a sweet 1911. Went through SACS back when they were worth a shit before they got too good and everyone who was worth a damn left SACS and opened up their own shops. Checkered front strap, action tune, trigger job, etc.. basically made a railed TRP without a bull barrel...
I’ve always wanted a 1911. Dad had a Ruger sr1911 and one day had to sell it to make ends meet. That was one of his top 3 guns. So when that sold, we must have really needed the cash.
