Never freaks me out at all. I been in the NFA game now for several years. Got 9 stamps or so. I just pay the tax, Get the approval and then build my shjt to their specs. Let’s me flex my SBRs and cans online, carry my shit in public without ever having to expect an incident to go down in my home with my fam or on my travels. Some dudes call that cuck shit but I carry around SBRs out in the world so much I wouldn’t exist at this point if I didn’t have stamps lol I like my VZ61 and my shorty suppressed 10/22 and I’m not dumb enough to believe they don’t know who I am or what I buy and that’s totally fine. It’s only 200.00 and my SSN and biometric shit was compromised decades ago.
I’m about to drop another stamp on this PS90 when we all get our routine back and our money right. Gonna chop the factory FN barrel because CMMG went cheap and their new 10.3” bbls are 4140 and no more chrome lined. Regardless, when you pull the factory 16” barrel and remove the long ass shroud it’s pretty much worthless as a 16” barrel ever again. Just have a pro chop and keep that machine gun steel barrel!
I don't know if the guy is being completely honest or not. But the ones laying into him that it makes no sense or that he shouldn't have let them take the gun annoy me. Until you're in that shit with guys who have the authority to slap cuffs on you & haul your ass away in front of your family, don't talk smack. And who knows if these ATF guys even knew exactly what they were looking at? Plenty of cops at all levels who don't know the ins & outs of everything they should. Plus, I think he was right that the fight to get the gun back would have cost more than the gun.

You’re absolutely right. There’s a time and a place to draw a line in the sand. I would have at least bugged them about getting my stuff back. I’m not afraid to call the BATFE I used to talk to them all the time. I’ve been through MANY audits, both just random and after serious burglaries at the shop. I know our local agent by name. I’d have been bitching to get my property back after the dust settled but I understand why he chose not to
