Nice clean shop!

But that's not a truck. WTF is it? Is it at least 4wd? Diesel?

Yah it's a dealership shop so this place is niceeeee. And nope my truck is at the house. This is my weekend toy

Did new headlights, lowered it 1.5 inches. Put on a straight exhaust and all general maitaince. Next week is motor mounts, rear splitter and intake. Gotta get ready for track season

Nice! I bet that's a ton of fun! Your hood emblem is a tiny bit crooked.

Range report time

Got my mags loaded and packed the night before. Didn't pack too many calibers.

Range was basically a mud pit in the AM. Dried out later in the day, but I got to try out my surplus goretex pants and they are legit waterproof.

Did some 100 yard work with the SKS and the M72B1.

Also did some shooting with a gas mask on. That was an interesting experience and I'm glad I had the chance to do it. Definitely challenging.

Big thanks to @cmshoot for setting this up. Nice meeting @I.D.-ten-T and @Cameron Shepherd too.

A good time was had by all. Especially me.

I had to ask @triplestack3 if he owned any guns in calibers that weren’t metric.

Really nice finally meeting you!!
I had a great time there, finally got to fully understand the hype about RPKs - DAMN. Not just hype, that is a sweet shooting gun!

Also had fun hanging out with @Cameron Shepherd and @cmshoot again!

Got to try my luck at the Air Marshall's qual course, and only failed it in 3 places...

First was a mental failure - forgot to top off my mag, and ran out during a string. Dummy.
Second was a weak mag spring, caused slide to not lock back, so working the slide for a reload made me take too long on that string. The times really allow only perfection in your gear. ANY failure means you're not going to make it in time.
Third was a failure to extract in the middle of another string, and clearing it is another auto failure for time, but I get one non-shooter induced 'mulligan', so technically I only failed twice...But I think my head and gear should've been better so I'll take that third hit.
I was using my S&W M&P9 with Olight PL MINI attached.

Beyond that, my accuracy was good, and my speed from the holster and doing reloads was far better than I'd expected - especially given that I hadn't practiced it in years.
@cmshoot also gets mad credits for being a really good coach - told me in advance ways to speed up parts of the course of fire, and good advise on when to rush a shot in order to not DQ, how to pre-check a turn, stuff like that.

Might be able to actually pass the course next time, if I give it just a bit of practice - and fix my gear. Or maybe I'll find other ways I need to improve...

Just what everyone wants to smell, coffee and cat piss. Apparently those cat cafes are a big thing in Japan.
