Ok, I may have consumed enough whiskey for the evening. I just spent several minutes assuming the gooseneck desk lamp in the background was an accessory screwed into the rear sight & trying to figure out what the fuck it was.

If the J spring is installed, either the hammer has a defective J spring or your hammer pin is out of spec. Hammer and trigger pins are identical by the way. The outer grooves on the pin are for the hammer spring to retain the trigger pin. The center groove is for the J spring to retain the hammer pin.
