Hey @Rabbit2047 are you able to thread a FAL barrel installed in a receiver?
Not and be concentric. Gotta put it in a lathe for that which means take it out of the receiver.

Tape the threaded end...chuck it in a drill....grind it against a file to fit....cold blue the shiny partsStill not sure how to make this screw fit. I lost my reply lol
Up until a few years ago CLP has been the standard lube for everything from pistols to cannons since about 1985. Then DSL came alone

Prior to 1985 was before my time, so maybe "machine gun oil" was once a thing.....but that half gallon might be regular old CLP. If it's marked MIL-L-63460 it's CLP.
Don’t think it’ll go in your favor, but it would be fun.
You’ll never make it past the claymore roombasMaybe I should dog nap your boy and ransom him for a vz61.
Ok ok I'll ask. What is an 1897?

I did. This is what I got via google.
Prior to 1985 there were a lot of different cleaners and lubricants in the mil inventory, each designed for a specific weapon system. CLP brought across the board standardization for weapons maintenance. A little know fact..... MIL-L-63460 (same thing as commercial Break Free) is water based and perfect for corrosive ammo maintenance. Many of the big bore weapons in the military still use corrosive components in the ammo they shoot.I knew about CLP, but I didn't realize that was the military standard. The stuff I have is thicker...my friend who closed his ffl last year gave it to me bc he was running out of storage space when I helped him move. He was 11 series Army...I'm curious what he gave me. I'll get some pics when I get home. I'll also check if there's a milspec sticker on it. I didn't think to look for that!
I want that pepper
I will take them for safekeeping.I’m trying to get married. I can’t touch her stuff lmao. She will sell my guns
