7075 or 6061 what would be better or does it matter for light duty occasional use
I believe that most aluminum lowers are T-6061 (?)
Either way, it shouldn't make any difference. T-7075 is a little harder, but I doubt you would ever know the difference, especially if the lower is forged. Heck, folks are making plastic lowers and those run okay. The lower isn't really a high stress part. It holds the trigger group and buffer tube extension - no other major movement going on.
