My friend told me he don’t think I should use x39 as a home defense round. He had a valid point that wouldn’t be my go to but want to know others view on this?

Vet tried to put one of those on my dog. He immediately hopped off the table, found an open doorway & ran back & forth through it full speed catching the edge of the cone on the doorframe. 4 the trip through before anybody could catch him & the cone cracked & fell off hi neck. Vet just stood there stunned.

I use ballistic tip 5.56, expends rapidly and light enough not to keep going.
I really understand that. My buddy seems unable to pass any piece of furniture, doorway, or wall without bouncing off. It would be funny if it didn’t look so painful.
My go to is my 106f (.223 AK) and G19.
Best home defense? That's a can of worms but 12ga 00 buck would be my #1 choice.
