@Shemp, I think it has to do with an upbringing like a lot of things as far as how you view animals. Our dogs were kind of our "test kids" before kids. I figured we committed to them, so within reason we would take care of them. There's a limit somewhere though. I'm not sure what that dollar amount is.

I mean...people can spend money on whatever they want. I just cant understand it. I've had dogs and gotten attached to them, but at the end of the day it's a dog. Kids would forget it once a new one is around.
