I've seen more modern BMWs and audis broke down on the side of the road than fords...and that's saying a lot. Typically 5-8 years old and over 100k miles...they get cheap and people buy them thinking what a great deal they got until a transmission goes out or a HPFP takes a dump....then suddenly you have a 3.5k bill for a 9 or 10k car...
The hpfp issues are on the turbo motors. N54. And if you have a manual it solves that problem.
