I've seen more modern BMWs and audis broke down on the side of the road than fords...and that's saying a lot. Typically 5-8 years old and over 100k miles...they get cheap and people buy them thinking what a great deal they got until a transmission goes out or a HPFP takes a dump....then suddenly you have a 3.5k bill for a 9 or 10k car...

The hpfp issues are on the turbo motors. N54. And if you have a manual it solves that problem.

Lol yes, getting an NA engine puts you ahead of the longevity curve, then you only have to worry about electrical gremlins and oil leaks.

I flogged a 135i on the Nurburgring a few times...it is an amazing car...same with the v8 M3s...but I personally couldnt buy one knowing the inevitable problems they develop. I think BMW started losing it's way around 06 or 07....I used to be a die hard BMW guy...and still sorta am but only on the older stuff, especially the mechanical cars

yeah there’s a few Achilles heels on the newer ones. The E90 M series all have rod bearing problems and electrical stuff. The only big ticket item on the N52 motor is vanos trouble on the early motors(06-09) and they still use that stupid electric water pump.

Yep. I think we can all agree the 2Jz is Gods straight six motor tho.

will always be my second favorite behind the 13b. i have no fucking clue why someone at toyota didnt tell them to just throw the old engine in the new supra and make everybody happy, instead they threw a fucking bmw engine in it and committed car blasphemy.

Gonna pop on some 9mm. This a good deal? Got something more gooder?

.17/round pretax isn’t bad.
I try to stick to .15/round for 9mm range ammo, but that’s normally 115 grain so I’d say not bad deal. Check out bulkammo.com as well. I’ve had some luck there

Yeah i mean a lot of people consider the N54 the German 2J for its tuning potential. But the new motor in the Supra shouldn’t have happened. The last Good turbo I6 motors made were the 2J and RB.

That link came out to $196 after shipping and theft. Still debating.
