there is and honestly turbos still tend to make more sense. the supercharges wont net you that much power on them and while they help on the low end, you wind out the extra power fairly quickly. Miatas are meant to get up to speed and stay there so high end tends to be more favored than the low end. A super charged one will be good to get around 175-180 and with a ton of work close to 200. Mine should be right at 250 with a conservative tune and i can still get way more if i decide to get a little risky.

and already at 250 it is insanely fun but still very manageable.

Have you seen that turbo Miata that "itsjusta6" on YouTube built?

Probably worth a small fortune today! I'm jealous. I'd love to even just ride in one, much less own one!
Probably is, I ain't even looking cause I don't want to know. I paid up for it, $11,000 in 1994. Sold it for $10,500 to a family friend in 97. I knew it was rising in value cause when I moved back to Georgia I had it serviced at a Porsche joint in Marietta and the service manager offered me $500 for the OEM roll up tool kit that consisted of Porsche stamped bag, tire tools and a set of fuses. Those things must have been hard to source, lol.

I almost bought a 1969 Vette instead of the 911. It had the LS 454 Big Block and a 4 speed manual transmission. The shifter throw from 1-4 was tiny, race car like. It had about 35,000 miles on it and the owner was firm at $12,500.....a few years before the late sixties Vette's skyrocketed in price, lol. I passed on it because of the difference in insurance cost. It was a hoss for sure, probably would have been dead 20 years ago if I had bought it. It all works out in the end.

68-71 Vette is my favorite body style.
