So you don't believe that your stocks will have more value in 20 years than they do now?

I got out while the getting was good and I will never get back in. I don't know where it will be in 20 years. Nobody does. I don't like risk.

That's about the smallest possible risk you can take, so small in fact that the funds you withdrew will not have any value of the stock market doesn't either.

I know that, but the bullets and guns I bought with it will.

Sorry man, but that was a terrible financial decision. Ammo and guns will be an incredibly poor investment compared to the future value and liquidity of stocks, and present a LOT more risk to your retirement than stocks will. I'd seriously recommend that you speak with a financial advisor and look at getting that cash back to generating some income for you. We're going to have some great opportunities to buy in this fall.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not interested in becoming rich or making money that I did not earn. Just a mindset thing now. I'm very happy with what I have and where I'm headed.

By purchasing stock, and identifying good buys, you are earning it. It's not about becoming rich, it's about being able to support yourself when you can no longer work, and not be a financial burden on those around you.

Anyway, best of luck.

Found a bunch of these growing behind the chicken coop. What are they?

I'm guessing these are a "Sulphur Tuft". Could be wrong.
