$30 a pound for deer meat?!!!

$2K hunting lease, $2/round for hunting ammo @10-20 for sighting in plus a couple extra for the deer, $500 rifle, $1K scope, plus gas and $300 for the stand.

Plus processing fees.

All for 100lb of deer meat.

Keep your nose on the grindstone and out of the pills

I gotta say an amen, cause this is the gospel right here. Sorry for your loss. A parent having to bury their child, is one of the worst things ever. And it’s probably why I’m not in the gutter, couldn’t do that to my mother. I still talk to parents of buddies I’ve lost... I’m going over here to reminisce and try not to cry...

Not to mention your clothes, hunting orange, and pouring deer pee all over yourself.

Yes sir. Welcome to south Ga. Depends on who processes it and you got a think this is only a seasonal meat. People who don’t hunt but crave that meat pay the premium
My gramps was a butcher and processing deer was one of his side gigs. He also did hogs and other stuff. I remember him having a huge knife collection where most of the blades had been worn down to razor sharp slivers. Used to help him clean parts from the sausage grinder.
Always had meat on the table, all natural from something that was alive only a couple hours ago.
